Giving and Stewardship

Why give money to the church?

Because it’s “the right thing to do”?  A good tax write-off?  God needs it? The church expects it?

Before we tell you what to write on your check or where to drop it off, it’s far more important that you know why we encourage you to give to God by giving to the church. To put it simply, it’s what God says to do. He tells us in the Bible that He wants us to give regularly, generously, and sacrificially out of all He gives us—all as part of our worship of Him.

Not because God needs what we have, but because we need to give it. What we do with what we have directs our heart. Giving to God reminds us that He has given us everything we have, and can be counted on to meet every need we will ever have. Giving something back to Him is an expression of gratitude and worship.

How to give:

You might notice we don’t pass an offering plate during our Celebration service. Why? We want you to feel free to give from your heart as an act of worship, when and however God prompts you to give. To do this, you’ll find offering boxes near the exits of the sanctuary. Envelopes for your offering are available at both locations and also in the seat pockets of the chairs.

Feel free to drop your check in the box or enclose your gift in an envelope provided.   You can also give by sending your gifts to the AHOP office at 140 Rogers St., Suite B, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
